What is Dipping?

Dipping is a process of spraying an item with a rubberized coating known as Plasti Dip®. The coating, (laid down in multiple layers) is practically impervious to the outside elements that can damage a vehicles paint and/or trim. i.e. sun, birds, road salt, debris etc. The madness behind dipping, is that when applied to the accessories and/or entire vehicle, you change the color and finish of the vehicle! Best of all, it lasts as long as you want it to! When you want to change back to stock or a different color, simply spray over or peel it off and dip again. How long does the product last?

Plast Dip® will last as long as 3 years without having to be retouched. It is very durable and will not lose its bond. After 3 years, or during the 3 years if desired, a new refresher coat can easily be applied.

 

What condition does my vehicle need to be in order to be dipped?

The vehicle needs to be free of wax, dirt, road grime etc. Dipped-Whips will prep your vehicle for dipping however if there is major wax buildup or heavy dirt, there may be an additional fee.

 

What type of warranty does Dipped-whips provide?

Dipped-Whips will warranty the dip for 1 year from peeling, cracking, or fading under normal driving conditions. If the dip fails in any of these areas within the time frame, simply call to schedule your dip fix.

 

Once dipped, how do I wash it?

You can wash the dip just as you would normally, however we ask that you do not use a super high setting on a pressure washer just to be safe. With your freshly dipped whip, you will recieve a pamphlet that explains how to take care of your vehicle once dipped.
